Schedule My ServiceWe are seeking a skilled Residential Garage Door Service Technician to join our team. This is not on-the-job training — we need someone who has been servicing garage doors and knows the ins and outs of them. This role involves repairing and maintaining garage doors and related systems for residential clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with construction and carpentry, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of skills including fabrication and electrical knowledge. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in residential settings.
Duties
- Install, repair, and service residential garage doors, openers, and related hardware with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Perform glass installation, spring replacement, section replacement, and other residential repairs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to complete projects efficiently
- Conduct electrical work related to garage door systems when necessary
- Handle heavy lifting safely while installing or repairing large components
- Perform caulking and electrical troubleshooting as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project scope and completion timelines
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work
- Hands-on experience with glass installation, spring replacement, and other residential garage door repairs is a must
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in garage door systems or similar mechanical systems is preferred
- Experience working on construction sites or in remodeling environments will be considered an asset
